What is our mission?

We have built an international reputation as the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We are dedicated to the study of creative subjects across a range of postgraduate, undergraduate and further education courses.

We do everything to enable your future success. We maximise your contact both with industry and practising creatives. Take part in live briefs, performances, competitions, and work experience as relevant, as well as developing your core business, entrepreneurial and professional skills.

What makes us special?

We invest heavily in our facilities - we won the Whatuni Student Choice Award for the UK University with the Best Facilities in 2019 and 2016 (and came second in 2018 and 2020!).

Once a year we transform studios and public spaces of our Blenheim Walk site into our giant end of year show, exhibiting the work of graduates across all of our courses.

The show includes a fashion show, debuting collections from Fashion Design students, and showcases from Popular Music and Creative Writing students, attended by press and industry.
