At the University of Chichester, we have worked hard to create a genuinely inclusive, supportive and caring learning community. As the only university in West Sussex, we have two campuses just seven miles apart, one in Chichester (Bishop Otter campus) and one in Bognor Regis. Both our beautiful campuses blend together historic and state-of-the art buildings to create the sense of community that we encourage.
The university is home to the Chichester Conservatoire for music and the arts, and the £35m state-of-the-art Tech Park which houses our creative industries courses.
Our achievements in the National Students Survey (NSS), where we have continuously been ranked highly, give us a strong indication that we are doing something right and that students enjoy their experience here. Our students appreciate the personal feel here, and that they’re not just a number and lecturers will know you by name.
We have helped generations of students to achieve their aspirations through high-quality, personalised teaching and excellent student support since the institution was first founded in 1839. Our achievement in this area highlights why the Guardian has placed us 16th out of all UK universities in their university league table for student satisfaction with teaching.
We understand the importance of leaving university with strong career prospects, which is why employability and real-life vocational skills are at the heart of our degrees. On most programmes, we offer opportunities to participate in work placements which provide an invaluable insight into how the degrees can be put into practice in the workplace and boost your employability once you graduate.

Choosing your university is an important decision, which is why we’d love you to visit us on one of our Open Days. You can meet the staff and students and take a look at the surrounding area to get a real feel for the place and community.
Our location offers students a perfect mix of city, country and beach life with something to do across all four seasons. And as we’re situated between Portsmouth and Brighton, and just 90 minutes from London, we have excellent transport links to major cities both in the UK and internationally.
